CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Good to see the ring planet revealing its ring plane again. But the more interesting phenomenon is the electric storm of immense scale is still raging on its northern hemisphere. Barely perceptible visually with my mewlon probably due to its low surface brightness, but the camera showed it easily. Guys with big scope, this will be an interesting visual challenge. On this night seeing was above average, but transparency was poor, the planet looked dim and the colours were subdued.

Not for me to dig out...lol! For those who have them and been sitting there for awhile. Had an 8 incher...not any more. Back to a nice 5". But I do miss the closeness like what Cat did with his Mewlon!
My wife never complained about how much time, effort & money I spent on my Astronomy hobby!................suddenly I met her!!!
Thanks for sharing Kelvin. Saturn is becoming interesting again !
And yeah...that storm looks great. Maybe I can built an IR there and take advantage of the spectacular lighting. But the Saturnian Astronomers will be complaining..
