btw, can you try a version without the use of the LPR for comparison? Might suspect the LPR is introducing unneccessary multi-order gradients, but better to make sure. Hope you could do this if you have time and weather permits. Interesting results nevertheless!

just wondering, by taking a plain white background image through the LPR filter, and calibrating some photo software, it is possible to reverse the effects of the colour shifts?
I was bored and I played with the image a bit. I created 'pseudo-flat' by applying excessive median filter and gaussian blur to wx's original image, then i blended the 'pseudo-flat' with the original.
no more green but alas, lost some reddish nebulosity data as well. :roll:
