Saturn from Singapore

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Saturn from Singapore

Post by ebeyonder »

Finally found some time recently to do some observation and took some pics of Saturn:

These two taken with C11 and DBK camera:

This with a 2x Barlow... I guess the Barlow made focus harder to achieve and the image blurry?

Finally a compilation of Saturn shots taken in the past week. I found out that collimation was really important. The pics in the top row were done before I properly collimated the scope:

Hope you like the pics :)

Very nice images! You got a good size aperture to do serious planetary works. With some luck, on a clear good seeing night, it's possible to push beyond f35. :)

Thanks all! I am going to invest in a good focuser for the C11 in time for Jupiter :)
