For those who have to work today(me!

) did any ob?!?! Wahaha~ Some palz at SP woke me up abt 3.15am when the moon is at partial and towards totality. Some "irritating" passing clouds when the moon is almost reaching totality. Alright, that was the case in Bishan area lah... hehe
Really excited to see total lunar ecplise. I always "chiong" for it, but it always cloudy when the moon is at partial or reaching total. There one yr, i cant even see the moon!
Anyway, time for work.. haha!
Take care peepz

I was at Dempsey road.........and when I reached there, already another guy was there.
Mathew was busy doing his capturing via his laptop and his LX-90.
Quite nice to catch this event, except for some high clouds. Even at Dempsey, the sky wasn't really dark. I could just barely resolve M22 (one of nicest globular) even with an 8" SCT. However, with the UHC filter, nebulas were easier....M8 (Lagoon) and M17(Swan) were pretty easy to see.
First time put my LXD55 mount to operation ever since I got it hypertuned half a year ago. GOTO wasn't that bad considering I didn't train the motors at all (too last minute) and the alignment was "tikam" one because one of the alignment stars was behind a building and I just accepted as it is. Further sycnhing with other objects put the GOTO back correctly. Tracking was pretty good too.
All in all...worth the late night.
