CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

M42 from Melbourne Australia.

Post by mill »

Hi everyone this is my first topic and pic of M42.
Taken with a modded Nikon D70.

One set of 26*15 Sec
One set of 10*60 Sec
One set of 8 *300 Sec
5 darks of 300 Sec
15* bias

Stacked with DSS, Aligned with Picture window pro.
Processed with CS3
I only need to do one more set of 600 Sec and 5 SEC and it will be better.

YUK! LOL

Go back to red, quick!!!!!!

Seriously Martin, the Red HA image is far better. In the 2nd image the HA regions are blending into the other regions and cannot be distinguished.
Cheers, Ken :D
