California Nebula

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

California Nebula

Post by Tachyon »

Ok.. the haze continues.. so does my time at Rent-a-scope...

LUM: 30s x 6
HA: 60s x 4
SII: 60s x 4
OIII: 60s x 4

N.B. The scope was slightly out of focus when I took this series of images. So I had to shrink the picture to make it look less blurry. No other photoshop manipulations done.

Very nice! i can't visualize the continent though, looks more like squid to me :-)

Can you image this http://www.palomar.altervista.org/deep_ ... itch_e.htm for your next outing? he's using the same optics as you.
