Hi, I receive a very interesting email from a South African friend last week. It's a comparison of our world with other planets etc..

Hmm... not sure if it's really true. But it IS interesting... :)

Scroll from one image to another to see the comparison. Enjoy.

Hi
ah..the big fish-small fish thingy, eh?
anyhow, the planets's relative size seems about there but I don't think antares is that much bigger than the sun though...I could be wrong of course.

Seems correct. But need to check the figures to be sure!

Hi,
I don't think antares is that much bigger than the sun though...I could be wrong of course.
Hmm... I never notice that Anatres is really that BIG!!! The diameter of Antares is around 700 times of our Sun diameter... our Sun diameter is around 1,400,000km, so Antares diameter will be around 980,000,000km!!! Basically, it diameter is slightly larger than distance from Sun to Jupiter!!

As for Betelgeuse, because it's diameter can change between around 550 to 920 times the diameter of our Sun, sometime it'll be larger and sometime it'll be smaller than Antares.

Anyway, I think the scale of the above image should be around there, will do a detail check if got time....

By the way, the above images are very interesting, it show just how small we are... :P

Have a nice day.
