Hi,
The sky chart is the map of the sky, so you have to put the sky chart "on the sky"... If you are facing north, the north side of the sky chart should be at the bottom and south on top. This will make the east on the right and west on the left of the sky chart. So if you are facing east, the east side of the sky chart should be at the bottom and the west should be on top of the sky chart... and etc.
