3 star alignment

Post by Sam Lee »

I'm not sure where to put this topic, so i'll just stuff this here.
Just a question out of curiosity. Since there's quite a number of GOTO users here, you must know what is a 3 star alignment.

How long do you guys usually take to do the alignment?
At what magnification will you do it in?
How high is the accuracy after the 3 star alignment?

Thanks for sharing!

Regards,
Sam

3-star alignment

You can find details about this new feature in LX-90 forums and Meade brochures dealing with the Latest Firmware version for Auto Star .
This was released basically for using on LXD 75 -Aurostar , but can be used for upgrading LX-90 Autostar also.

Judging from the initial test reports in LX-90 forum , the benefit of this feature is apparent only if you are using LX-90 on a wedge.

As LX-75 is yet to be shipped out, no first hand reports are available.
