CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Only had a small window of opportunity for this as clouds were coming in thick and in patches last night. But was determined to give it a try with whatever space I had between the clouds. Managed to squeeze in some subs before calling it quits. Will try for more data when skies are clear to grab the reflection nebula area. For now hope you like it.

That's a nice one. Good details without over exposure. Keep em coming! [smilie=crying2.gif]

Thanks Airconvent & shirox.
Grabbing the reflection Nebula part wasn't easy and if anything, still not enough to do justice, but pleased as it is considering my LP filled 2nd floor balcony. Some layering was involved with post processing in PS to combine the 2 nebula regions.

nice work ... tim :) looks really like solid mass not transparent ahhh... trifid thin nebulosity tends to spread out more.

Thanks wucheeyiun and Bergkamp.

Yah the thin parts need more exposures which I hope I can grab when the weather is better...which I also hope before this area of the milky way moves away from my balcony..lol! Only managed to grab 30mins worth of subs before clouds came in throwing even PHD off! Wish to grab more star detail and nebulosity detail when the skies improve and layer for a more complete look.

Also suffering from lack of megapixels with the SSDSI II. Planning to get a new higher rez CCD to grab more pixels and detail. Soon soon....droool.
** excuses excuses....hehe....must improve...must improve.
