An early PER grazer ( low radiant angle) 'thinner' streak mag -0.1 and a brighter PER mag -3.2 when the radiant is much higher 3.5 hrs later. A couple of streams are active as well

You can check out the digital camera images of the perseids... so it is doable.
Lets do it for the Perseids. Point your dSLR camera out of the window and get as many exposure as you could.
If you have a good view of the sky and can safely leave an open window to point and fire away your dsLR tethered to remote release or fired from laptop please do so. If no meteors than use the frames to create a timelapse avi instead.
