At the end, we've 10 person turned up for the ob, 8 adults and 2 kids. Remus, Liuming, David Lian, Zong, WeiXiong (WX1985), Mark, Raymond+2 kids and me of course.
The sky was quite kind to us, at anyone time we had some part of the sky reasonably clear. Basically, we were give the opportunity to view nearly every part of the sky. As usual, the southern sky gave us the most objects and I started to learn more about the northern sky like the M13, the double double east of Vega, etc. Oh, the group saw a total of 3 bright yellow meteors at around 11pm, personal I only saw 1 of them.
We packed up at about 12mn and head to Adam Rd Food Centre for drinks and supper (Remus only)
Last but not least, thanks Raymond for the giant fish balls.

Sounds like you guys had a good time!Clifford60 wrote:Oh, the group saw a total of 3 bright yellow meteors at around 11pm, personal I only saw 1 of them.
Can you recall the location and heading of the meteors? I'm wondering if they are early Eta-Aquarids. If so, I think the meteors would have been heading towards (or away from) the horizon at due East at a steep angle.
Lucky you guys to see 3 bright meteors in the city, and coloured ones too!

Mark mentioned the one he saw traveled from ENE close to horizon upward toward W direction and lasted quite a length. The one I saw move from S toward NE @ somewhere around Vigro/Bootes/Serpens Caput, lasted quite short. The other one need to check with Raymond, however, I know all 3 meteors were observed facing East.starfinder wrote:Sounds like you guys had a good time!Clifford60 wrote:Oh, the group saw a total of 3 bright yellow meteors at around 11pm, personal I only saw 1 of them.
