Yes Saturn Again

This Saturn image was shot on 28 Feb too. Once passed mid night, the atmosphere was pretty calm albeit rather hazy. Here was a 2nd attempt with the DMK21 cam. This round, I was really pushing it, clearly the camera has higher sensitivity over typical webcam. The Saturn was imaged at beyond f/50, by stacking 2X powermate and Vixen 2.4x tele extender with a colour filter wheel sandwiched between them.

Great image: how many frames per second could you get with the DMK21 on your setup and the hazy sklies? How many frames stacked? what scope?

Hi JY, the Saturn was imaged with Tak Mewlon 210. At that f ratio, the image appeared really dim and nearly covered 2/3 of the sensor. The luminance data was acquired at 1/23s frame rate with 1200 frames stacked. As for the colour data, i was using visual colour filters, not optimised for imaging, they are neither colour balanced nor parfocal, light through put are not conistent too. If I was not wrong, Red data was acquired at 1/12s X 600 frames, Green at 1/5s X 500 frames and Blue at 1/20s X 800 frames.
