With the recent good data of Andromeda Galaxy captured in Mersing, thought it was beneficial to the observational community here to turn the data into relevant useful information. Instead of posting on the astrophotography section, I'd thought it would be more relevant to post in this General Astronomy section to benefit the rest of the astronomy community that carry out regular observations. Imagine surfing and looking out for globular clusters (beyond those in our Milky Way) within the Great Spiral of Andromeda. Although it is not a fully exhaustive map depicting the location of these globular clusters, I have tried to make do with whatever imaging data sources that I currently have. Most of it concentrated on the core region. I have used the luminance version to annotate the location of the globular clusters for ease of clarity. The data is basically adapted from the book "Atlas of the Andromeda Galaxy" (Paul W. Hodge, 1981).
References to the globular clusters can be found here:
Wow... If you tell me you can memorise all the positions and location of each globular cluster, I'll be speechless, faint, ... whatever ! Good work Remus!! Thanks
nice remus....right after I commented you cannot see details on Andromeda too!
Pretty amazing those globulars appear as tiny dots from over here!
Are the brighter stars actually foreground stars in our Milkyway?
