The weather is super blue and clear now in Tampines (19:20). It observation time after reunion dinner...

yeahman...sky is clear now...hope it holds out till morning. thinking of imaging after midnight at my place...

In the meantime, the 16.1", rumoured to be the largest aperture scope in Singapore (bigger than the one at Science Centre observatory!) is getting isa first light right at this VERY moment in Aljunied...!!

Happy New Year,

Sky is clear at Bukit Panjang. Set up my scope in my study room, but limited viewing angles because of several point blocks around. Only managed the Southern Cross stars...

Southern Cross stars? That would mean you must be observing at 5-6 am in the morning? Last week, I stayed up to 3.30 am to do imaging and at the time, all I could see was the false cross. Maybe that is what you saw?

In anycase, for some unexplained reason, even though CNY eve has the clearest sky I have seen in a long while in Singapore, I decided not to take advantage of it, and in fact, went to sleep early at 1 am! I even gave the Singastro's first 16.1 inch scope's first light a miss! WHAT CAME OVER ME??? I must kick myself cos tonight I was ready to go to Dempsey but sky was very cloudy! :-(

Sky are cloudy over my side at yishun too, star appera and disappera too fast, did get a good chance to do any real stuff.
