LOOK EAST! on the morning of 10th December (before Sunrise)
Thought I'd add to day 2 of the conjunction. Here's a cropped version of a photo I took at about 6:15am on the morning of 11 Dec, when Mercury had moved closer to Jupiter so that the two were separated by 1/3 of a degree. The altitude of the trio's about 5 degrees. It didn't take very long (about 10 minutes?) before the threatening dark clouds covered up the eastern sky.
