CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Last Mersing trip in early March turns out to be a fruitful one despite the capricious clouds cover. I managed to fulfil a personal imaging milestone by the acquisition of the last of 6 Messier objects to complete the Messier-imaging project.
Although i have not been contributing any images of late, it is because I've been stuck with accumulation of these stamp size Messier images. And after thousands of subframes and 2.5 years later, finally here is a compiled Messier montage for your viewing pleasure.
In the process, I’ve learn valuable lessons on deepsky imaging and derive much thrill and fun. This Messier table will be updated, hopefully on an annual basis when deeper and sharper Messier images are acquired in the near future.
I believe this is the first complete Messier project entirely taken from Mersing/Singapore. Congratulations on a great job well done! I hope you will still go to Mersing every new moon, looking forward to learn from you!
cheers,
Arief
