I do have a 12" RC. But not from Meade. It's my Samsung TV Remote Control. I think it is really 12" in length.

Hi,
Just back from Mersing. The sky was good and have a very fun night with all those that goes... including kochu and Matthew who went there a day earlier than us... but according to them the sky was very bad on friday night... totally overcast. Anyway, it seem that the sky will clear for those people who goes Mersing for the first time... and I think we got five of them. :D

Due to my SD-1 Motor Controller didn't arrive in time, so can't do any imaging, except one short star trail. Instead, I use my MircoStar for the first time for visual observing... haven't done that for quite sometime... :P The MicroStar perform quite well, but I think I didn't balance accurately, so got some problem when trying to observe near the zenith.

Anyway, our offical "reporter", Mooey, will provide a more details report and the crazy galaxy hunt that he and elton do on the teleport. :P

Have a nice day.

PS: Mooey totally abandon his 8" Portaball... :P Lucky, his Portaball quickly found a new friend... Justin... hee hee :)
