Hey guys,

Do register with the relevant parties whether or not you are invited. I'm sure they wouldn't mind a few more participants (especially the polys).

Regards,

Yes, i believe you can come as a spectator. It's basically an inter-school astronomy competition, that covers many topics in astronomy, both theory and practical. It's sort of a quiz thing...

It's on the 7th and 8th June, NUS and NTU respectively.

the venue is not confirmed. And its kinda boring on the first day, with the usual quiz and stuff. but yes, you can come as a spectator or claim you are a supporter :D of my school. they allow supporters.

Hello,

Do all schools need to form a team? I have a prospective team; we need to get clearance from the school in case they have already sent in one team.

So it is something like quiz on theory on the 1st day and practical 'exam' on the second?

Would any past participant NUS or NTU Astronomical Society member like to enlighten us a little more please? :)

Hmm... seems like you didn't went for the last year's one. It is roughly the same as last year.

The first day at NUS is the prelimaries, and the 5 or 4 finalists will be announced at the end of the day. Poly/JC have practical round as their prelimaries too.

Second day is the finals, no practical stuffs and pure theory. Things like buzzer round will be part of the finals.

doubt if there's practical, go contact them for details before its too late. Clearance get from Science Dept HOD, shouldnt be hard. the lecture theatre which its gonna be held is not known yet, but there'll be signs.

Think its gonna be more fun this year, with RI having a stronger team. :)

Anyway, practical = use GOTO :P

Thanks for the tip, am waiting from clearance by science teacher :). Do you have any idea on which email should I send to? I have scrutinised their web site, but have not found many new leads as it has not been updated for a few months (NUS Astro).
