Hi Weixing,
I think u must consider repositioning ur obing site. Tis morning I notice some metal tent structure being erected beside the mosque. I don't know wat it is for but I think it will cause lots of light pollution. Clear skies. :k-sad: :k-=X:

Hi,
The sky look clear last night with some fast moving cloud passing by occasionally, but only the zenith area was really clear. I think there may be some thin cloud or haze in the sky, reflecting the light pollution and cause the stars to be very dim... the jewels boxs look like just been rob. :(

Also, I confirm that I can see colours in M42 Orion Nebula... can see some green, blue and red in the nebula.

By the way, below is a photo taken during one of the large cloud cover. From Left to Right is Ariefm71, Dan and his wife and me. You can see the two 8" "coffee grinder" - Ariefm71's C8 on CG5-GT (the "silver" OTA) and Dan's Meade LX90.
:k-chuckle: :k-chuckle: :k-lol:

Anyway, hope better weather next time and really miss the dark site... may be can have our next session there... hmm???
:k-?: :k-?:

Have a nice day.

Yes it was a beautiful night sky yesterday.. except for the occasional distrubing moving clouds....

Hey Weixing, as you have mentioned, Changi is a good location with 'dark road' so what about planning to go there for OB this Friday since it is a public holiday...

immediately after I enter my house after being back from a wedding dinner, I took my bino and took a peek at the comet again...seems its some sort of ritual currently..heh heh..

It's OK with me, but I don't think it'll help much... because this friday will be a near full moon, so any place will be the same... :P

By the way, the dark site I mention is somewhere near Changi Coast Walk, NSRCC Sea Sport Centre and National Service Resort.... I think it is a bicycle track that connect from east cost park. May be Elton can give more information, since he "discover" it.

Have a nice day.
