Any nice astronomy books or beginner star-gazing books to recommend?

I recommend "Nightwatch" by Terence Dickenson. Covers theory and practical topics, including equipment discussions, skymaps, etc. Available from Borders, Kinokuniya (Orchard) or borrow from the National Library.

hmmm, would try and look for this 2 books when i go to sch library, but this 2 is about star gazing, any books about astronomy or cosmology about facts or theorems? (black hole, white hole, worm hole etc....) coz i have a strong intrest for astronomy and cosmology since young
