Mersing Astro Expedition 01 July 11 to 03 July 11

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Thanks very much to Remus for reprocessing my earlier images, you have definitely point me in the right direction. By reviewing the images again, they showed that I was quite ham-fisted at extracting details from the images. Ok, for this one I exercise more finesse in the processing. Below is another widefield target, Gamma Cygni & Crescent Nebula. Again captured with Tak FSQ 85 & Modified Canon 350D @ f/3.8.

the Cygnus field is splendid bro! NGC6888 is irresistible...cannot wait to take it next time! lolxx....

have processed the final 100mm one. It looks like it can be a reference image to hunt for new areas to shoot....i have included an annotated version for everyone's reference....including the Barnard objects....i think we may have forgotten one more goodie to take in this region...IC 1284!!!! <grin>

Very nice photos, Kelvin and Remus!

Now I can see where M8/M20 and M16/17 fit together.
