hi people....
i know only a little on astronomy, so i'm definitely a newbie....
can someone enlighten me on the following:
1. any good reflectors with a high f-ratio (portability is important)
.
.
thanks
Reflectors with high f-ratio are usually either :

A) not portable in the first place due to the long, heavy and bulky tube,

OR

B) they are portable but optically not-so-good
e.g catadioptric-newtonians. I'm not referring to those high end Mak-Newt or Schmidt-Newts of course - I'm referring to those Chinese ones that have a small barlow-like lens placed in the optical path to shorten the physical tube length for greater portability while maintaining a long focal length (high f-ratio)

Field chairs can be bought anywhere actually. Singastro members have field chairs of all shapes, sizes and colours. you should come to one of our observing sessions and see  Those "designed" for astronomy and sold by US dealers all come with really crazy price tags
( > US$100 )

Wah, since I'll be the one standing and talking all the way, you all should be the ones to treat me drinks instead of me treating free meals hor 8)

Anyway, it'll have to be on one of those Sunday afternoons when I'm really free and available. But I'll just put both your names on the list first. Maximum can take 5 only (this means 3 more vacancies). My house not very big you know
