Some Photos from 21 & 22 Obs

may i ask what camera is being used and with what settings? thanks
Hi sorry for the late reply, a few fellow Singastro members were interested about the camera setting, especially on the first picture, yes the camera revealed more stars than I had anticipated, I was pleasantly surprised too. No Photoshop trickery here, it was captured with my trusty Canon 30D and the standard 17-85 EFS lens, we simply had good sky on that evening. First the setting; Tripod, 20s exp, F6.3, ISO 640, 85mm, Camera set to manual. The objective is to get pin point stars, the stars are too faint to focus on, instead I trained the lens on the furthest offshore lights on the ships. Shooting at longer focal will also reveal more faint stars. As for the foreground, I hand held a flash gun and 'paint' in a strobe light manner (hence the ghostly silhuottes). :D
