My only comment is that at the last bit where the small shadow leaves moon horizon, there should be a change of the shape of object, ie become elongated...but the climbing in and out of grove is so real...
remember the US apollo campaign, there were famous astronauts revealed UFO on moon and there was information embargo...

An object can still appear round at high speed so as long as the image travelling across the sensor is slow enough for the given shutter speed and frame rateClifford60 wrote:
A round object sure can move at high speed, the question is whether the cam can show it as a round dot or a elongated dot or line.
If the object is between the sun and moon, how can it be a concentrated black dot and not shade of grey? If it is a concentrated black dot, the object must be very near the moon, then it can't be just a shadow. Also, it has to be very big in size, tens or even hundreds of km across, so why can't see the object, oh it is a black object, we are seeing it.
In a solar eclipse, the moon moves between the earth and sun. The shadow is quite black:

If we zoom out the pic in the link above, the dot can be very black.
Anyway, I do not claim to know the answer, it is just my 2 cts on this. I may well be wrong!

Finally got to see the video on another site. The original link doesn't work anymore. Video looks real.
There have been other recorded instances of these "fastwalker shadows". At first I thought it was a bug, but Arief is right to note that a bug silhouette will not be affected by the seeing, which this 'shadow' certainly is.
What I'm also certain is that it's not a real shadow on the moon. The proof is that there is no elongation of the 'shadow' when it approaches the moon's limb. If a real object was throwing a shadow on the moon, it would have to be in low moon orbit, and the speed of the shadow will slow down as it approaches the edge. Otherwise, the shadow should elongate at the limb, but it still looks the same throughout.
As for the apparant distortion caused by 'going into grove', it is an illusion caused by the seeing and the bright crater washing out the shadow. Try to look at it objectively again.
That leaves the best theory for me a balloon. It is apparently caught in a cross wind that is blowing it from left to right, but rising steadily upwards. At some point it rises above the cross wind and starts rising rapidly and drifting to the left. The moon's elevation is 36deg at that date and time so the balloon theory is reasonable.

A bug or UFO? What ever.
The point is "Do you believe we are alone in this universe?", "Are we that BIG and that smart?"
I don't think we are the only smart living thing. If US president(Bush?) can send spacecraft into space and Malaysia can send angkasawan into ISS, I think chances of a flying object ever built by higher intelligent creature is not zero. Many people need proof to believe this. I believe they exist, I only hope to see one in my life time (may be not too close).

we call it astroNot or angkasaWant.
may be that dot is sam_1 (some one) trying to build a Touch-N-Go on the moon for the astroNot.
is it 80million space tourist or $80million per pax?
Wah.. the astroNot deal package was US$900 million, but it include roti canai, spin top, jet plane, oil and cups of kopi(teh tarik).

I am with you.. I believe that earth cannot be the only celestial object out of millions of them which has the right conditions to sustain life. There must be more of them where we can find water, air, temperature suitable for life in some form.river wrote:A bug or UFO? What ever.

Those ETs certainly would be exploring the mystery of the space as we are trying. They may be pointing their telescopes to the skies and trying to figure out the dots moving across. Maybe one day our paths will cross.
