How you get the $200 to $250 vpost shipping cost? estimation?
I only get the actual shipping cost after Vpost received the item in US, and that cost can be different from what I expected.

Hi,

i estimate the shipping costs from their website Vpost Shipping Charges.

i have not included GST and Insurance which i will most likely pay for.
Was there a large difference between the actual shipping cost and your estimation?

thanks

Don't estimate the shipping cost by weight. You need to find out the volume of the shipping box. The volumetric weight will be much higher than the real weight of the package in your case because your box can be quite big. And you have a few boxes.

For example, I bought the video camera which is only as big as a 2" eyepiece. Weight was negligable, maybe 1kg with the foams and stuff. But the shipping cost me $150 because the sender use a super big box. So I end up paying for air inside that box.

yeah..get the dimension of the box first. At least you don't get a nasty surprise like me when I saw the bill from Vpost.

For your case, the OTA and the base is shipped in two separate boxes. Then the contoller in another box. Get the dimension of those boxes first. OPTCORP are nice people....they surely will find out for u.
