Thanks Marco! Nice to see your effort too. I believe seeing in Singapore is at least decent a good deal of the time which makes it much better for planets.

Jupiter at Opposition 2019
Finally back imaging again! Some interesting developments on Jupiter since my last post. The equator region has developed a slight brownish colouration whilst the Southern Equatorial Belt has faded slightly and the GRS has clearly shrunk in size.

Was also comparing the differences of OSC vs Mono so did a run using both cameras (I believe they use the same sensor). I think mono may have a slight advantage in terms of detail, but it seems extremely marginal to my eye. Hard to say. OSC still has its place for convenience and transient events. Pardon the difference in colour balance.

Nice capture of the opposition! Interesting results...I'd be splitting hairs to tell any difference between the OSC and mono

Nice capture! And yes, Jupiter's appearance may drastically in our lifetime! It's very nicely placed with Saturn for sidewalk astronomy. I do hope Remus'' Art-Science gig will reappear soon so we can take advantage of the window

Processing my capture of Saturn from 10/6/19, when I was out for Jupiter's opposition. Potentially might have resolved the Saturn's North Polar Hexagon, as seen from the projected map of the north pole computed in WinJupos. Aiming to increase capture time to get a more complete map of the polar region which might make the hexagon shape more apparent.
