It gave me a chance to test my newly acquired scope.
Nothing great. Just an ordinary 150 mm Achromatic F/5 refractor. (Celestron CR6).
It looks like this scope is adequate for imaging DSO s from Singapore.
Now few more clear nights required to acquire OIII and S II data.

1.ELEPHANT TRUNK NEBULA IC 1396:
---------------------
The Elephant Trunk Nebula IC 1396A is a faint globule contained within the star cluster and emission nebula IC 1396 which much larger ionized gas region , located in the constellation Cepheus about 2,400 light years away from Earth. It is quite difficult to image from Singapore as it hardly climbs above 30 degrees during transit.

Magnitude: Unknown.
Size: Roughly about 45 arc minutes (Elephant Trunk itself). The Elephant Trunk is located within the faint IC1396 , which is about 3 degrees across.
Distance: 2,450 light years.

2.NORTH AMERICA NEBULA NGC7000.
-----------------------------
The North America Nebula (NGC 7000 ) is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, close to Deneb. The North America Nebula is large, covering an area of more than four times the size of the full moon; but its surface brightness is low, so normally it cannot be seen with the unaided eye.
It will look better on a wide angle image, along with the PELICAN.
visual magnitude 6.0
apparent size 120' × 100'
distance 1,600 light-years .
