The amphi-theatre looks good. Solid ground and electrical power and probably more importantly, toilets! Looks like a good obs location Remus! And the 10pm is not an issue ..."astronomers DO IT late at night! "

Thanks Remus. I had planned to join in to check out the place but after a whole afternoon at the PC Show, don't really have any photons left to emit..
Will join the next one. Do share your review and photos of the place and event after trying it out.
Clear skies to all participants!

Last session on Friday went well. Skies cooperated, and towards 11pm, it was near cloudless. A few newbies came, along with veterans, and those heading to Mersing this Friday. Kelvin also helped to take a group photo, that he may upload here. Following on, we had Melcolm and Mooey staying overnight till 6 the next morning for some DSO imaging. I went back to the site for some testing the next night, also fairly clear but clouded out towards midnight.
Perhaps the next session, we will have it at the huge nearby field for more unobstructed views. Kelvin remarked that the south was quite good from there.
Also, many thanks for all who have turned up. Do come again.
Thanks for the report, Remus and Kelvin!
The site looks good. I take it the lights at the grandstand are the ones that will be turned off at 11pm?
That big refractor mount looked like 2 Terminator eyes...eerie!
