Ah... I am using a regular tripod and no auto track. I have read this stuff before but was so excited that i forgot about it all. Feels damn silly now, but thanks Peter.

I am doing from comfort of home behind window grille and under parapet. Looks like i need to get uncomfortable :D
Cheers

Resized Andromeda crop 17 Nov 2012.jpg
Here is M31 taken at Johor, Malaysia Saturday night - only managed to catch 5 shots X 2 mins, 500D I-R Mod ISO 1600 (3) ISO 800 (2) in between floating clouds & light rain, yet it looks more complete than the 20 over shots taken through balcony here. GPD2-Mount un-guided, Meade 80 ED.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Happy you got your AP fix which should last till next full moon. :) Should start a new thread next time else HDB prices may further increase! :P

Been a while since I saw M31...Its always convenient to view from your home where the toilet, coffee, titbits and the bed are within easy reach. :)
