Hi, I used, Lumenera Skynyx2.0M camera with Astronomik LRGB filters, hardly any colour balancing is done.

What rate of acquisition did you achieve with the camera?
With the Toucam at f30 last week, I could only get 5 images per second without pushing the gain/brightness into bad territory.
As I could not get as many frames as needed, I went to 10 ips but had to push the gain a bit too high...

Cheers

Hi,

L is 20 fps
RGB is 30 fps

2000 frames taken, 1000 frames per channel is stacked. gain for RG is about 80% and B uses 100% gain.

For Lumenera, even at 100% gain, the background hardly has "snow". I know that for Toucam, at 10 fps, Saturn is too dark, thats why you have to push the gain a lot. Thats where DMK and Lumenera can take the pushing in gain due to their low noise.
