To help you answer that, perhaps you can first tell us: where do you observe - backyard garden or neighbourhood park? Do you drive?

well, it is quite tough to carry a german eq mount plus tripod plus newtonian on public transport, maybe you can check with weixing for ideas and inspiration. As for your long ota, you can check with shoelevy or roma_my as to where to get the tripod bag for their cg5 may it may fit your ota plus padding.

you can also have one made from canvas...I think the army surplus stores in beach road used to have this service many years back...

Optical Tube Assembly.

If you can, maybe try to find a big travel case with wheels to fit in your ota, mount & accessories.

Orion telescopes sells bags that can fit the OTA. However.. it is from USA. Also bringing around the scope and tripod/mount is really going to be very hard unless you are a muscle man. :) If taking public transport, it would be better that 2 people go so that one can carry the OTA (plus accessories) and another person can carry the tripod/mount. Or.. if you are observing near your house, you can buy a trolley(those goods type.. I bought one good and cheap one at Carrefour) and put all your stuff on it and just push it to your OB site.
