Dear all, Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. After the posting, I have managed to get some help cleaning out the scope and am very thankful for that. While I really wouldn't mind donating the scope for a good cause, honestly I wouldn't mind either if I can recoop part of the cost of the scope. ...

Fungal Infected C8 up for Adoption/Donation

Dear Singastro Forumers, I have a C8 with a fork mount that I posted up for sale some time ago. It was then I discovered a spot of fungus on the glass, which has since turned off any prospective buyers. I had fond memories of carrying that to Mersing many years ago. :) Yes indeed it is. This scope was bought fro...

C8 for sale

Hi I'm looking to sell a C8 with basic tracking mount. Eye piece and Diagonal not included. It's the same setup that I bought from David Lian. Unfortunately I have no time to do justice to this great scope these days and guess it's time to let it go to someone else who will make better use of it. Am...

the pentax is highly recommended since it's the next best bino after the fujinons. the minoltas are recommended too, since they offer sharp optics, large fov and a cheap price. u can't go wrong with either pair. look for something with 7x or 10x magnification. i have a pair of 12x50 minolta which i...

Wow. So am I. Wonder what the shipping cost would be like.
Btw, newbie question here. Is the auto-tracking on the DSX125 good enough for astrophotography?

Most memorable astronomical experience

Dear fellow astronomers, As you can see, I've just joined this forum barely a week ago. So I think a little intro of myself seems in order here. For those who went to Batu Layar recently, I am from the odd group of ladies who, somehow tagged along. Truth is, I knew nothing about this forum, nor am I...
