Hi All,
The Pentax K30 with O-GPS 1 Unit.
More About the Pentax Astrotracer and how it works.
All you need to do, Calibrate, Mount Cam, settings, point and start shooting.
The O-GPS 1 Unit locks on in less then 5 mins.
for the whole night only one Calibration is needed if you are not moving the Tripod.
Do note that as the system is not on a EQ mount,
you would need to track the object after every shot but not during.
Unit still trackes well at 450mm FL for 30 sec.
From testing, i notice that it tracks better when objects is higher up (say about 45-60 degrees)
Small and light upset for Widefield Astrophotograhphy on the go!
A few test shots in Malaysia:
MilkyWay Wide (Tamron 17-55 F2.8 suffers from coma @ 17mm)
7x3mins at 26mm @ F5.6.
4 Dark and 9 Bias
ISO: 3200
